Wikiparenting.com Success; Over 1000 Articles Submitted by Parents! - December 7, 2007
's-Hertogenbosch - Wikiparenting.com is proving to be worth its weight in gold according to the success measured in submissions by interested parents. Since its official launch in September of 2007, submissions by parents have skyrocketed. Wikiparenting.com utilizes the aspect of wiki: parents sharing their own personal philosophies and techniques in an editable interactive form. Wikiparenting.com gives “power to the parents“, in that they control information and content by submitting articles and building upon the articles that have already been submitted.

To date, there are over 1000 user contributed articles filling the pages of the website.

Says site administrator Yvette Cargill; "1000 articles is certainly a benchmark to be proud of. It shows that there are parents and caregivers out there who really want to share what they know, and are eager to continue to contribute. There isn't any other site like it on the internet today. The growth of information and community so far is only a small signal of what's to come."

Any user can submit articles or information to be viewable to the public on Wikiparenting.com. Users can discuss or watch articles for updates or discussion, keep track of individual contributions or contributions by favorite users and upload images and sound files to articles.
